How Our Tools Work

All password generation on GeneratedPassword.com uses the crypto.getRandomValues() Web Cryptography API built into your browser. This means:

  • Random number generation happens locally on your device
  • No network requests are made during password generation
  • Generated passwords exist only in your browser's memory
  • Password history is stored in your browser's session storage and is automatically deleted when you close the tab

Local Storage

We use your browser's local storage only to save your theme preference (light or dark mode). This data never leaves your device and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.

Third-Party Services
